The software behind the STOTES HOME family dashboards.
Magic Frames is a private, self-hosted dashboard system that runs on a server in the Stotesbery household. It drives the wall displays in our home — showing the family calendar, the weather, school lunch menus, photos, and chore progress for our kids.
When a household member connects a Google account, Magic Frames uses Google Sign-In and read-only access to that account's calendars so the dashboards can display upcoming events. That is the only reason the app asks for Google access, and it is described in full in the privacy policy.
Magic Frames is not a public service. It is not offered to other users, accounts are limited to members of this household, and no data collected through it is sold, shared, or used for advertising.
