Magic Frames is a private household dashboard application operated by David Stotesbery ("we", "us"). It runs on a server in our home and drives the STOTES HOME wall displays. This policy explains what information the application accesses through Google APIs, and how that information is used.
When a household member chooses to connect a Google account, Magic Frames requests:
calendar.readonly) — the calendars and events of the
connected account; The application cannot create, edit, or delete calendar events through this access, and it does not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.
Calendar data is used for one purpose: displaying the household's own schedules on the family's home dashboard screens. Profile information is used only to identify the connected account inside the app. Magic Frames does not use Google user data for advertising, does not build profiles, and does not use it to train models.
OAuth tokens for connected accounts are stored on the household's own server, under the account owner's control. Calendar events are fetched when a dashboard requests them and may be cached briefly (minutes) to keep the displays responsive. When an account is disconnected in the app, its stored tokens are deleted.
We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with any third party. Data moves only between the household's server and Google's APIs in order to provide the display described above.
Access can be revoked at any time, either by disconnecting the account inside Magic Frames or from the Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops all further calendar reads immediately.
Magic Frames' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Questions about this policy, or a request to delete stored data, can be sent to thumbinollie@gmail.com.
